Course Schedule
This 6-month course starts in May 2024 and concludes in October 2024.
The course requires on-site participation at a 2-day seminar on May 1st & 2nd and a one-day session either on October 23rd, 24th or 25th, which will be held in central London. Thanks to the support of Sedgwick there will be a Dinner on May 1st, please let us know if you are able to attend by emailing [email protected] .

Online Webinars
Between May and October 2024, there will be 5 core webinars that will be one hour each.

- Tuesday, 28th May (2-3pm, UK time): General Product Safety Regulation. Presenter: Rutger Oldenhuis, Recall Desk.
- Tuesday, 4th June (2-3pm, UK time): Obligations of Economic Operators under UKCA/CE Marking Legislation. Presenter: Mark Gardiner, Market Surveillance Specialists
- Tuesday, 25th June (2-3pm, UK time): Chemicals. Presenter: Katrina Prior, Eurofins/BLC.
- Tuesday, 2nd July (2-3pm, UK time): Conformity Assessment theory and practice. Presenters: Mark Gardiner and Geraldine Cosh.
- Tuesday, 9th July (2-3pm, UK time): Validation of Documentary Evidence in relation to Product Safety. Presenters: Mark Gardiner and Geraldine Cosh.
Additional Modules
In addition to these core sessions, please select one of the following 4-hour online modules. If you would like to do more than one this will be subject to a fee of £250 + VAT:

- Electrical Product Safety & Compliance (27th June): Presenter: Mark Gardiner, supported by Electrical Safety First
- Gas Appliances (3rd July): Presenter: Mark Gardiner.
- Personal Protective Equipment (4th July): Presenters: Vicki Burch, Hertfordshire Trading Standards and Mark Gardiner.
- Machinery Safety (10th July): Presenter: Mark Gardiner.
- Toy Safety (10th September): Presenters: Mark Gardiner and Geraldine Cosh.
- Clothing, Footwear and Accessories (12th September): Presenters: Mark Gardiner and Geraldine Cosh.
- Cosmetics (24th September): Presenter: Amanda Isom.
These sessions are in addition to the core (18 hours of teaching) and the attendees will receive a total of 22 hours of teaching time.
Attendees will be expected to complete a Multi-Choice Assessment after each session. This is included in the assessment of competency noted below.
