Vicki has 20 years as a Local Authority Trading Standards Officer covering the wide range of subject areas that Trading Standards have the regulatory remit for.
Since 2010, Vicki has been a Product Safety Lead Officer within her Local Authority, building upon and gaining specific skills and knowledge on all areas of product safety.
Vicki has also been the Chair of the East of England Trading Standards regional product safety group since 2016, attending the National product safety group with all the other regional group chairs for the past 8 years.
For over 10 years, Vicki has been advising businesses, large and small, on product safety requirements and how to supply safe and compliant products onto the UK market. She has also been a Primary Authority (PA) officer for many large national companies and trade associations which has involved business advice for meeting regulatory compliance and assisting in carrying out risk assessments and corrective actions.
During this time as a PA officer, Vicki has become a specialist in the area of PPE and has trained other Trading Standards Officers and regulatory colleagues around the UK on the legislative requirements, especially during the Covid pandemic. She is a source of contact from regulators on PPE compliance matters and has devised guidance and information tools for local businesses and TS colleagues alike.
