Correction to coronavirus travel industry guide
Posted 13/05/20

The Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) issues a correction to its coronavirus travel industry guide on the Business Companion website.
An earlier version of the guide stated, in relation to cancelled package holidays, that "a credit note is another increasingly popular alternative and will be financially protected in the event of future failed travel plans." This is incorrect, and was subsequently amended to the following: "A credit note is another increasingly popular alternative and may be financially protected in the event of future failed travel plans." For the removal of doubt, the government position regarding credit refunds is unaltered.
The free guide, produced by CTSI in collaboration with the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy is an expert resource for travel businesses affected by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
