This free webinar is designed to help people who want to turn their food -based pastime into a business.

In this practical session, Food Law Consultant Amanda Seddon, explains the legal basics for new businesses and how to register your business, provide recommendations and highlight common pitfalls about sourcing your ingredients and developing your recipe, through to how you package and label it for the market place. This will cover the key information needed to move from being a passionate home cook into becoming a food producer.

This training is aimed at people who want to set up small food businesses and initially selling via online marketplaces, such as Facebook and at local markets.

 Amanda Seddon - Food Law Consultant

Amanda is a Trading Standards Practitioner who spent 20 years working in Trading Standards roles before moving to a career advising businesses on regulation. She worked as a labelling legislation manager for HJ Heinz Ltd for 8 years and then worked as a consultant to major UK retailers and manufacturers, working with M&S, Tesco, Lidl and Aldi amongst others. For the last 3 years Amanda has run her own consultancy supporting businesses in complying with regulations. She believes that legislation can be applied simply to products making compliance a basic part of product development.
